Freshman Davis Bryant leads CSU through 36 holes
Rams in fifth after 36 holes of PING Cougar Classic

CSU shoots a total of 11-under for the day and are just seven back of the lead
PROVO, Utah -- Colorado State shot a total of 11-under for the two rounds of the day and sits in fifth through 36 holes of the PING Cougar Classic Friday. The two-day, 54-hole tournament, hosted by Brigham Young University, is being played at Riverside Country Club in Provo, Utah.
CSU had a solid morning with an 11-under 277 and sat in second, two shots back of Denver. The breeze picked up in the afternoon and the scores went up, as the Rams posted an even-par 288 and are at 11-under 565 in fifth. Denver is the 36-hole leader at 18-under 558, two shots better than host BYU in second at 16-under 560. Boise State is third at 13-under 563, with New Mexico one shot back in fourth at 12-under 564. In all, eight teams are under par heading into the final day, with nine shots separating first from sixth.
The Rams were led by freshman Davis Bryant, who is tied for third at 8-under 136 following a 5-under 67 in the first round and a 3-under 69 in the second. Sophomore Parathakorn Suyasri also posted a pair of under-par rounds, shooting a 69 and 71 for a two-round total of 4-under 140 and a tie for 10th. Freshman Oscar Teiffel recorded a pair of 1-under 71s and is tied for 16th at 2-under 142. Senior Jake Staiano is tied for 53rd at 4-over 148, while junior AJ Ott is tied for 60th at 6-over 150. BYU's Peter Kuest is the 36-hole leader at 14-under 130.
The Rams will go off No. 10 tee in the final wave starting at 9:20 a.m. and playing with New Mexico and Northern Colorado.
