Rams and Golden Hurricane will play in Tulsa along with Oklahoma State taking on Minnesota
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Another piece of the non-conference puzzle is complete. The Colorado State men's basketball team will head to Tulsa, Okla., to play the Golden Hurricane as part of the BOK Center Basketball Showdown Dec. 21. This is part of a doubleheader, as Oklahoma State will take on Minnesota in the other game, with game times and television information yet to be determined for the event.
Tickets for the Showdown start at just $15, and will include both games. Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. CT/9 a.m. MT on Friday, June 14. CSU season ticket holders will receive a separate invitation to be part of a presale for the event on Wednesday, June 12.
Colorado State is under second-year head coach Niko Medved and returns four starters and five letterwinners, including the leading rebounder in the nation last season in All-District pick redshirt-senior center Nico Carvacho. The Rams have added five newcomers for next year as Medved looks to continue his streak of improving on the previous season's win total in each of his six years as a head coach.
The Rams and Golden Hurricane have met five times previously with Tulsa holding a slim 3-2 advantage in the overall series. The last time the two teams met, they were both part of the Western Athletic Conference, as the squads split the season series in 1999, as each team won on its home court. The last was a 71-64 CSU victory on Feb. 6, 1999.
Season-ticket renewals (through June 21) and the sale of new season tickets are currently taking place, with new purchases eligible to take part in the seating-upgrade process in July. Contact the Rams ticket office at (970) 491-RAMS (7267) or online here.
