Rams Close Out Play at Bedford Cup

Luetschwager wins a trio of singles matches
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State's tennis team cut the four-day event down to three, getting a start on the 2019-20 season at the Bedford Cup played at the Air Force Academy over the weekend.
The Rams did not participate in Sunday's final day of matches, as the final two days players bounced around a bit in the brackets.
"It was what we expected for our first tournament," coach Jarod Camerota said. "Our results were OK, and the team and coaches know what we can truly accomplish. It's really early in the season."
Emily Luetschwager won all three of her singles matches playing in her bracket, Priscilla Palermo and Anastasiia Kotsyuba each won a pair, while Stella Cliffe and Alyssa Grijalva posted one win each.
In doubles play, Luetschwager and Palermo teamed up to go 1-2, Grijalva and Cliffe were 1-1 and Riley Reeves and Kotsyuba went 1-2.
"We got some good feedback on what we need to work on," Camerota said. "I'm happy how we competed, we just need to get a little better, little by little."
