FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Back in front of a home crowd, Colorado State will play Utah State in its annual State Pride Game Saturday, Jan. 25 at Moby Arena with a 2 p.m. MT tip.

The Rams (9-10) reside in the middle of the pack among the Mountain West at 3-5, while the Aggies (6-13) occupy the bottom position at 1-7. Seven of Colorado State's nine wins on the year have occurred on its home court.

In the series, Utah State holds a three-game win streak – all occurring last season – which is its longest streak since the Aggies won the series' first seven games from 1975-80. The Aggies ousted the Rams in the first round of the 2019 Mountain West Tournament right after defeating CSU in the season finale in Logan.

Coach's Corner
Head Coach Ryun Williams
On State Pride Game…
"We love playing this game. This is a very prideful state. There are a lot of good people and great players from Colorado, so to be able to represent the state in this game means a lot. We'll put a great effort out there and are excited to play it."

On Utah State…
"The Aggies are a challenging game for us as they come off a great road victory at Air Force. They have some great guard quickness and have athletic interior play. They beat us three times last year, so it is a big game for us. We are excited to be back in Moby, and see our fans cheer us on for this competitive game."

Off The Tip
• Last time out, the Rams suffered a heartbreaker in a buzzer-beating defeat at Fresno State, 55-53. Jamie Bonnarens hit her team-high 15th point on a three with four seconds left which tied the game at 53-all, however the Bulldogs' Aly Gamez connected on the game-winning floater as time expired. For the second-straight game, the Rams' defense held its opponent to their lowest scoring output of the season. It also marked the 10th time an opponent didn't eclipsed 60 points. CSU turned the ball over seven times and limited MW's top scoring offense to nearly 25 points less than their average (78.2 ppg).

• Forwards Andrea Brady and Makenzie Ellis have been the Rams' stalwart as of late. Ellis has double-digit scoring games in eight of the past 10 contests. Since the turn of the calendar, Ellis has poured in 96 points in six games (16.0 ppg). In the same time frame, Brady has compiled 61 rebounds (10.2 rpg) with 55 points (9.2 ppg). Brady's 23-rebound performance against San Jose State represents stands third in NCAA DI this season, while it set a single-game record at CSU.

• Colorado State's floor general, Tori Williams, is back. After missing four games, Tori Williams returned for the Tulsa game. Since, she has averaged 11.1 ppg, 2.3 3FG/G, 2.8 apg, 1.0 spg in 35.8 mpg across the seven games. In each of the past three games, she has played the most minutes for the Rams.

• Defense continues to be the Rams' specialty. 10 times this season CSU, the MW best scoring defense (59.2 ppg), has held an opponent to less than 60 points. Five times, the Rams have kept its counterpart below 50 points - a feat not replicated in the MW. Thirteen times this season, CSU held its opponent to under 10 points in a quarter including four times it has been under five points.

• Ball control a strength for the Rams. CSU has had less turnovers than its opponent in all but four games (UIW, BSU, NM, AFA), ranking second in the Mountain West in turnovers per game (11.5), which checks in sixth nationally. The turnover margin (+3.95) is third in the MW and 48th in the NCAA. In all but four games (SDSU, BSU, TUL, NM), the Rams have scored more points off of the turnovers than its counterpart.

• Redshirt-senior forward Andrea Brady has pulled in a team-high 171 rebounds, which ranks fourth in the Mountain West and 40th in the NCAA. Average-wise that pans out to 9.0 a game for fourth in the conference and 66th nationally. She has five double-digit board games with a high of 23 and has had at least six in all but two games. She is on pace for 267.9 rebounds which would put her in CSU's all-time top-10 single-season record list.

Leading USU is Hailey Bassett, a 6-2 senior forward, who ranks seventh in scoring and 12th in rebounding among the MW, while blocking the most shots at 31 (1.63 bpg). Last week, Bassett became the 10th Aggie to score 1,000 career points.
• Three Aggies scored in double figures at Air Force as sophomore guard Steph Gorman had 14 points, senior forward Hailey Bassett had 13 and senior guard Lindsey Jensen-Baker had 12.
• Sophomore guard Steph Gorman ranks second in the Mountain West and 32nd in the nation in steals per game this season (2.58 spg). Gorman ranks 22nd in the nation in total steals with 49 on the season.
• Jensen-Baker has been having a breakout senior campaign as she has scored in double figures in 14 of the 18 games of the 2019-20 season.
