Head Coach Ryun Williams Out for COVID-19 Contact Tracing

Colorado State women’s basketball head coach to miss first two games per safety
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State women's basketball head coach Ryun Williams will be absent from the team's first two games on Wednesday and Saturday as a result of contact tracing related to the COVID-19 virus.

Assistant coach Rico Burkett will assume on-floor head coaching responsibilities while Williams is absent.
Â
Williams became aware of the possibility of contact with the virus last Wednesday from an individual not associated with the team, team staff, or CSU community who tested positive. Since then, Williams has quarantined properly within his residence and has been in contact with the team only through zoom and phone.

Prior to Burkett's time at CSU, he was the head coach for the men's program at Wayne State for nine seasons and had six years of assistant coaching experience before that at Stetson and Wayne State.
