The cancellation is the fourth this season for the Rams.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – For the fourth time this season, Colorado State's football game has been canceled.

The game vs. Utah State was set for a 7:30 p.m. kick off on Saturday, Dec. 12.

"Our student-athletes, coaches, and staff have done a tremendous job this season staying engaged and doing everything in their power to be able to compete," said Director of Athletics Joe Parker. "They were energized and ready to play on Saturday night particularly for their senior teammates. In consultation with head coach Steve Addazio, we will make the most informed decision regarding potential future games. This has no doubt been a difficult and trying season, but I am thankful for our teams' efforts and passion to compete and represent Colorado State University."

In a statement, the Mountain West league office said: "The football game between Utah State and Colorado State scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12, in Fort Collins, Colorado, has been canceled. The official standing of the game will be determined at a later date."

Colorado State began the 2020 season with eight scheduled Mountain West conference games, and of the four cancellations, three were on the home slate (New Mexico, Oct. 24; UNLV, Nov. 21; Utah State, Dec. 12). All three of those contests were canceled by the visiting school. Colorado State's lone home game of the 2020 season was a 34-24 victory over Wyoming on Nov. 5.
