Senior ranked fifth in conference rebounding

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Being a big part of Colorado State's defensive performance, senior Andrea Brady was named to the Mountain West All-Defensive team as the conference announced individual league honors Sunday, the opening day of the Air Force Reserve Mountain West Tournament.

Brady helped key the team-defensive effort for the Rams as they lead the conference in field-goal defense, allowing teams to hit just 38.1 percent, while ranking second in scoring defense by yielding 59.8 points.

She is the first Ram since Hannah Tvrdy in 2017-18 to make the defensive squad.

On her own, Brady ranks fifth in the conference in rebounding at 8.3 per contest and 11th in blocked shots (.86 per game). The Salt Lake City product's 23-rebound effort on January 11 against San Jose State was the best in the MW this season and tied for fourth best in the nation.

Brady leads the Rams in scoring (10.8), rebounds and blocks (with 25 total) as they are set to open tournament play against Air Force at 5:30 p.m., MT, at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Regular-season champion Fresno State led the All-Conference selections with three, including player of the year Maddi Utti, who was also on the All-Defensive team.
