Junior Guard Awarded Conference Weekly Honor After Helping CSU Go 3-0
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Averaging 19 points per game and leading Colorado State women's basketball to a 3-0 record on the week highlighted McKenna Hofschild's case for being named Mountain West Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday.

During three games run, she also averaged four assists and rebounds per game, while nothing season-bests 10 season bests.
Â
In this set, Hofschild played a season-high 37 minutes against Oral Roberts, while doing a little bit of everything with 13 points, six assists and a season-best three steals in the 71-56 CSU win.
Â
Next, the Rams traveled to Denver for their first away game and Hofschild unleashed, dropping a career-high 27 points on 9-of-16 shooting. After entering the contest, 2-of-9 from 3-point territory, she enjoyed a 4-of-7 clip. Additionally, she corralled a season-high six rebounds and distributed three assists in the 67-43 win.
Â
Momentum from distance carried into the final game of the sequence as Hofschild went 5 for 8 from three, which was a part of the team's 16 total treys – fourth-most all-time. The Prior Lake, Minn., native finished with 17 points, three assists and three boards in the 81-55 victory over Lipscomb.
Â
The reigning MW Newcomer of the Year and All-MW Team selection ranks seventh in the conference in scoring, averaging 15 ppg and third on the assists list with 5.0 apg. The 27-point outburst is the third highest point total for a MW student-athlete this season.
