FORT COLLINS, Colo. – For the first time in program history, Colorado State men's basketball has been ranked for three consecutive weeks, moving up to No. 20 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Sports Coaches' Polls today. The Rams entered the polls at No. 23 on Dec. 13 and moved up to No. 21 last week.

This is only 11th week that Colorado State has been ranked in the Associated Press poll. This is the highest rank for the program since March 9, 1954, when the Rams were ranked No. 19 in the AP Top 20. The 1953-54 season was also the only year that CSU was ranked for more weeks, as the team was ranked four times during the season (Jan. 12, Feb. 16, Feb. 23 and March 9).

The preseason favorite to win the Mountain West, the Rams remain in the poll with a 10-0 record after a 66-63 victory over Mississippi State at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Classic in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday, Dec. 11. CSU trailed by 10 and used a 17-2 second-half run to take the lead for good late in the contest. For the season, Colorado State has wins over three postseason teams from a year ago (Oral Roberts-NCAA Sweet 16, Creighton-NCAA Sweet 16 and Mississippi State-NIT Runner-up).

CSU has been on a COVID pause since Dec. 17 and is looking to return to action at home against Air Force on Jan. 4. Tickets for the new fan-flexible mini-plans and Bounce Pass season tickets for the remainder of the 2021-22 season can be purchased now by contacting the CSU Athletics Ticket Office at 800-491-RAMS (7267), CSURams.com/MBBTickets or ramtix@colostate.edu. The game is also a special Kids Day game, with a Buy One, Get One Free ticket offer with the code KIDS at CSURams.com/PromoCode.
