Rams Drop Season Finale at San Diego State

The loss snapped a season-long four-match win streak as Colorado State finished the season 9-6.

SAN DIEGO – The Colorado State volleyball team finished the spring 2021 schedule, dropping the finale at San Diego State, 3-0. The Rams did not help themselves, recording 22 attack errors to hit a season-low .076 and were blocked 12 times.
 
San Diego State start the match leading the first set wire-to-wire and took the frame, 25-14. The Rams looked to even the match in the second as there were a match-high eight ties and five lead changes. The set was tied at 18-18 before SDSU finished on a 7-2 run to take it 25-20 and a 2-0 match lead. The last set the Aztecs took a lead at 10-9 and did not look back taking the finale 25-19.
 
SDSU was impressive in the side-out game with a 72.7% and not allowing Colorado State to manufacture many scoring runs – just three for the whole match. CSU's 30 kills were a season-low also as Kennedy Stanford had nearly half of the with 14. Brooke Hudson and Alexa Roumeliotis reached double-figure digs with 11 and 12, respectfully. Ciera Zimmerman finished with 26 assists and Karina Leber added four blocks to the defense.
