The junior running back is one of the Rams' top contributors to service to his community.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State junior running back A'Jon Vivens was named to the Wuerffel Trophy Watch List which honors college football's most impactful leaders in community service.

Named for Danny Wuerffel, the 1996 National Championship winning quarterback of the University of Florida Gators, the Wuerffel Trophy is the premier major college football award that places the majority of its voting emphasis on community service and is presented to the FBS player who best combines exemplary community service with leadership achievement on and off the field.

Vivens, who stepped into a larger role on the field in 2020, has long been active in serving his community even before coming to Fort Collins.

From 2014-18, while living in Denver, Vivens regularly volunteered at the Denver Rescue Mission. He has participated in the Colon Cancer Awareness Walk since 2019, and during the 2020 holiday season, Vivens organized a toy drive to benefit the Ronald McDonald House in the Denver area. He has also organized food drives for rescue missions and organized Juneteenth celebrations in Dnever.

As the nation entered voting season in the midst of a worldwide pandemic, Vivens helped organized safe voting drive registration events and started a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and helping with social justice issues.
