The Rams will hold an intrasquad scrimmage in Moby Arena, giving fans a first look at the team with the opportunity to enjoy a beverage in the FNBO Loft.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – As part of the Homecoming festivities on Oct. 9, Colorado State men's basketball will host a free open scrimmage at Moby Arena for all fans to preview the 2021-22 Rams. This will occur in conjunction with the CSU football team taking on San Jose State, with the scrimmage time announced after the football contest game time is set in the coming days.
Â
The event will begin with a preview of the season with the CSU coaching staff. The 2021-22 squad will then be introduced to the fans in attendance prior to the live intrasquad scrimmage, where fans can also experience the FNBO Loft.
Â
"I am excited to have fans back in Moby Arena and give them a chance to see this year's team," head coach Niko Medved said. "While last season was a great step, it just wasn't the same without Ram Nation, so all of us are ready to welcome all our great fans back this year and this is our first chance to do that. Come on out and check it out as part of a great weekend of Homecoming festivities."
Â
Coming off the program's 20-8 record in the COVID-shortened season and berth in the NIT Final Four last year, the Rams return all five starters, including senior Kendle Moore and All-Mountain West selections senior Adam Thistlewood and juniors Isaiah Stevens and David Roddy. Following an exhibition with Adams State on Oct. 31, CSU opens the 2021-22 season hosting 2021 NCAA Sweet 16 team Oral Roberts on Nov. 9 at Moby Arena. Tickets and new fan-flexible mini-plans for the 2021-22 men's and women's basketball seasons, along with football and volleyball, can be purchased now by contacting the CSU Athletics Ticket Office at 800-491-RAMS (7267), csurams.com/tickets or ramtix@colostate.edu.
