Trey McBride is the national leader among tight ends in receptions and receiving yards.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The accolades for Colorado State tight end Trey McBride continue to roll in as he was added to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation's top receiver, on Wednesday.

McBride, who currently leads all of the nation's tight ends in receptions and receiving yards, was also named to the John Mackey Award (top tight end) and Lombardi Award (top lineman) watch lists in the preseason. He was the only tight end added to the watch list on Wednesday and is now one of six overall on the award's list.

It's not just against other tight ends where McBride compares favorably. He's been a force nationally as a receiver no matter the position.

Through four weeks, McBride's 36 catches rank No. 3 nationally behind two receivers tied at 39 catches while his 398 receiving yards are No. 16 nationally. He averages nine catches a game, the second-best mark in the country. All three figures far outrank the closest tight end on the national charts.

According to Pro Football Focus, which watches every snap of every game, McBride is the 2nd-highest ranked receiver in the country, regardless of position. McBride has also caught 45 percent of all pass completions this year for the Rams, the highest percentage of any player on any team in the country.
