CSU To Host Open Scrimmage at 10 a.m. on Oct. 9 As Part of Homecoming Activities
9/30/2021 4:00:00 PM | Men's Basketball
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – As part of the Homecoming festivities on Oct. 9, Colorado State men's basketball will host a free open scrimmage along with a meet and greet at Moby Arena for all fans to preview the 2021-22 Rams. This will occur in conjunction with the CSU football team taking on San Jose State, with the scrimmage time starting at 10 a.m. in Moby Arena.
Admission is free and all fans are welcome. All parking lots will open for the CSU football game at 9:30 a.m., but due to anticipated sellout of all game-day lots, there will not be separate parking available for purchase in the Moby lot for just the basketball scrimmage. Only small clear bags are permitted in Moby Arena (click here for prohibited items and more information).
Only the north concourse doors will open at Moby Arena also at 9:30 a.m. as the FNBO Loft will be available for Ram fans to enjoy and start their tailgate day early. The 2021-22 squad will be introduced at 10 a.m. to the fans in attendance prior to the live intrasquad scrimmage. Following that, the Rams will be outside of Moby Arena on the north plaza to sign autographs and take pictures with Ram Country before Coach Medved and select players head to the Coors Light Ram Walk Tailgate that is open to the public prior to the 1:30 kickoff against the Spartans.
Coming off the program's 20-8 record in the COVID-shortened season and berth in the NIT Final Four last year, the Rams return all five starters, including senior Kendle Moore and All-Mountain West selections senior Adam Thistlewood and juniors Isaiah Stevens and David Roddy. Following an exhibition with Adams State on Oct. 31, CSU opens the 2021-22 season hosting 2021 NCAA Sweet 16 team Oral Roberts on Nov. 9 at Moby Arena.
Ticket information will be available at the scrimmage for all fans, as season tickets and new fan-flexible mini-plans for the 2021-22 men's and women's basketball seasons, along with football and volleyball, can be purchased by contacting the CSU Athletics Ticket Office at 800-491-RAMS (7267), csurams.com/tickets or ramtix@colostate.edu.
