Isaiah Stevens Named to Preseason All-Mountain West team

Stevens on the preseason team, Rams are projected to finish fourth
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Senior guard Isaiah Stevens was a key component to Colorado State earning an NCAA Tournament berth in 2021-22 and is set to be one of the best players in the Mountain West this year. Stevens was named to the Preseason All-Mountain West team announced on Wednesday by the conference.
Stevens was a Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year finalist in 2021-22 and a second team All-Mountain West selection. He averaged 14.7 points, 4.7 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game last year. He enters the 2022-23 year second in program history for career assists with 443 and in the top 25 for points scored with 1,309.
The Mountain West also released its preseason polls on Wednesday with the Rams picked to finish fourth. San Diego State, Wyoming and Boise State were picked to finish ahead of CSU. The Rams garnered 156 points in the poll.
Colorado State is coming off a 25-6 season and NCAA Tournament appearance.
The 2022-23 season tips off with an exhibition on October 28 against MSU Denver and the regular season starts on November 7 against Gardner-Webb. The Mountain West portion of the season starts on December 28 at New Mexico with the conference home opener on December 31 against San Jose State.
Once again, the Mountain West Championship will be held at the Thomas & Mack Arena in Las Vegas March 8-11.
