Isaiah Stevens earned his third Mountain West Player of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After helping Colorado State pick up a top 15 NET win over Saint Mary's on Sunday, senior guard Isaiah Stevens earned the Mountain West Player of the Week honor.
The guard from Allen, Texas was the straw that stirred the drink for CSU's offense scoring 23 points and adding five assists, both to lead the team. Throughout moments of the game, it felt as if he was unstoppable for one of the top defenses in the country as he scored seven of the Rams' first nine points in the second half.
His ability to create his own shot and for others helped Colorado State shoot 55.8% against a Saint Mary's team that was holding its opponents to 38.8% shooting coming into the game.
The Player of the Week honor is the third in Stevens' career and his first of the 2022-23 season.
He and the Rams head to Phoenix to close out the non-conference schedule on Wednesday when they face USC at 9 pm in the Jerry Colangelo Classic.
