Stevens Named CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State junior guard Isaiah Stevens has been named to the First Team Academic All-District Team, selected by CoSIDA and announced by the organization today. Stevens moves on to the Academic All-American ballot in the next several weeks.

A finalist for the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award with a 3.51 GPA in communication studies, Stevens has been a leader for the Rams this season. Stevens was among the leaders in the nation in several categories, including seventh with a 3.11 assist-to-turnover radio, 15th in free throw percentage at 89.9 and 48th in assists per game at 4.9. He ranks 13th in the Mountain West at 15.39 points per game, tops in free throw percentage, fifth in assists and seventh through steals. He has four games with 20 or more points and 10 with five or more assists.

For his career, Stevens became the 32nd Ram to reach 1,000 career points and is currently 16th with 1,207. He is fourth in career assists with 408, second in assists average (4.9), fourth in minutes average (34.0), sixth in free throw percentage (85.6), 18th in 3-point field goal percentage (39.1) and 18th with 127 3-point field goals made.

He is the fourth men's basketball Ram ever recognized for this academic award, as Tim Hall (1975, Honorable Mention) and Mark Steele (1983, Third Team) were CoSIDA Academic All-Americans and Dorian Green (2013) was Academic All-District First Team.

The Rams are in action tonight in another important Mountain West contest, playing in The Pit for the first time since 2018-19 when they take on New Mexico at 7 p.m. on the Mountain West Network.
