Jones Named Mountain West Men's Golfer of the Month

Connor Jones helped CSU to two team wins and had an individual win to earn the honor
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – An individual win, two team tournament wins and another top five individual finish earned Connor Jones the Mountain West's Men's Golfer of the Month honor announced Friday.
Jones and the Rams are off to a great start for the 2022-23 season winning their first two tournaments as a team. Not only did Jones help the team win the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite, but he also earned the individual medalist. Jones shot a 13-under-par, 203, including a final round of 6-under, 66.
He followed it up with a top-five finish at the Ram Masters Invitational shooting a 4-under, 206. Once again, he was a part of a CSU team that won the team title at the Ram Masters Invitational. Colorado State has won its two tournaments by 36 strokes combined.
For the month, Jones had a stroke average of 68.17 with five of his six rounds ending in the 60s.
Jones and the Rams return to the course October 17-19 at the DU TPC Colorado Invitational, hosted by the University of Denver at TPC Colorado in Berthoud.
