FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Opposite hitter Malaya Jones was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Rams to a 2-0 week four of conference play with wins over Air Force and New Mexico.

Jones led the Rams with 35 kills on the weekend, hitting for an average of 4.38 kills per set.

The redshirt-junior's dominance in the front row was on full display in the fifth set against Air Force as Jones totaled 11 kills in the fifth set alone to propel the Rams past the Falcons 3-2. Jones totaled 22 kills against Air Force and 13 over the Lobos while hitting at a .301 percentage combined on the weekend.

From the service line, Jones also added three service aces over the weekend, making her offensive production multidimensional. She also added four total blocks and 12 total digs over the two matches.

This is Jones' second weekly award of both the 2023 season and her career after she was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week after week two of the Mountain West season.

Jones and Colorado State will return to action Thursday against Fresno State in Moby Arena starting at 7 p.m.
