COLORADO SPRINGS – Taking advantage of a chance to gain some competitive experience, Colorado State head cross country coach Kelly Hart sent a handful of her team down to the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs Invitational on Friday. Not enough members to form a team in either gender, but a chance for them all to race.

Five women did attend, though one ran unattached. Sophomore Trinity Wells had the top finish with her time of 18:07.1 placing her seventh overall. Brooklyn Ewert (18:19.7) and Audrey Thronson (18:44.78), both freshmen, followed behind in 14^th and 21^st, respectively. Rounding out the Rams' roster, Isabella Proscenom placed 26^th in 18:58.6, while Annie Macabobby was 32^nd in 19:14.2 over the 6K course.

A pair of freshmen men competed in the 8K unattached, with Ezra Burrell finishing 16^th in 25:43.5 and Trent Nosky 57^th in 27:06.1

The remainder of the roster is gearing up for the prestigious Nuttycombe Invitational in Madison, Wisc., on Oct. 13.
