Rams Finish Season at NCAA Championships

The Colorado State women’s program made their fourth-consecutive appearance at the Championships, finishing 29th on Saturday morning

Charlottesville, Va. – The result was not what was expected, but there were still many positives at Saturday morning's NCAA Cross Country Championship at Panorama Farms.
 
Quinn McConnell led the Rams in the 6k race, finishing 143rd and a time of 20:57.8. The junior moved up 40 spots in the final 3000m. Kensey May followed in 156th with a mark of 21:04.5. May also pushed through the final 300m, passing 42 runners. Anna Petr finished third for CSU, 161st overall and moved up 28 spots in the final stretch.
 
Sarah Carter finished 195th with a time of 21:28.3, followed by Yasmin Austridge, Kenya Dennee and Ava Escorcia. The Rams finished 29th out of 31 teams.
