Hofschild has inked her name everywhere in the Colorado State women's basketball record book. She is the only player in program history to exceed 200 assists in a season, breaking her own record from last season in assists (216) with 222 currently. Her career assists are also close to the top, currently second all-time with 552 behind Ellen Nystrom with 584.
Â
When she isn't passing the ball, she is scoring it. So far this season she has scored 640 points – third at Colorado State for a single season and fifth in the Mountain West record book. In her three seasons at Colorado State, she has amassed 1,478 points so far, good enough for seventh all-time, just behind Sam Martin (2010-14), with 1,547.
Â
WBCA member head coaches may nominate players from their own teams for Coaches' All-America. They then vote for the top eight players in their respective regions from among those players who are nominated. The selection committee, which is composed of head coaches from each region who are elected by their peers, may select up to 12 additional at-large finalists from the remaining pool of nominees.
