Colorado State eyes final home meet of season next weekend
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State Track and Field team finished the Fum McGraw Power Meet, its second home meet of the season, Saturday afternoon at the Jack Christiansen Memorial Track as the Rams have only one more weekend of outdoor track and field before the Mountain West Championship Meet May 11-13.

Top performers for the Rams include freshman Vincent Flegeance who won the men's 110 meter hurdles with a personal best time of 14.26 seconds, good for the third best time in the Mountain West so far this season. Teammates Cole Nordman and Germain Barnes finished the event close behind in second and third respectively.

Taye Raymond Holker had a big day for the Rams, winning two events. The sophomore won the women's long jump with a mark of 5.94 meters and won the women's 100 meter dash with a time of 11.61 seconds, the second best time in the conference so far this season.

The Rams swept the 800 meter events as the middle distance race marked the furthest event on the schedule in the power meet format. Bailee Carr won it for the women with a time of 2:12.36 seconds while Cameron Ross won it on the men's side with a time of 1:52.56 seconds.

Colorado State was able to sweep the top three spots in six events on the day including the men's 110 hurdles, the men's 400 meter hurdles, the men's high jump, the women's long jump, the women's pole vault and the women's discus.

Other personal bests come from sophomore Dominic Gallelli who recorded a personal best time in the men's 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53 seconds flat. Sophomore Elijah Scott also had a personal best mark in the men's javelin, throwing a distance of 56.94 meters.

The Rams will be back on their home track next weekend for the Doug Max Invitational Saturday, April 29 as the team and coaching staff plans to honor their senior athletes during their last home meet. Events are set to kick off at 10 a.m.
