Bleier Leads Way for Rams on Day 1 of Mountain West Championship

Christoph Bleier and Connor Jones each sit inside the top 20
TUCSON, Ariz. – Sophomore Christoph Bleier continued his strong season firing an opening round 5-under, 67 on Friday for Colorado State men's golf. His round places him in a tie for fifth after the first round of the Mountain West Championship.
As a team, Colorado State is in seventh place shooting a 4-under, 284. They are 12 strokes behind leader San Diego State and ?? out of the top five.
Bleier recorded seven birdies on the day with just one blemish, a double bogey on the par 3, seventh.
One other Ram finished the day under par in Connor Jones. Jones shot a 2-under, 70. He placed four birdies and two bogeys on his scorecard. Jones will enter day two tied for 18th.
