Bleier Leads Auburn Regional After Two Days

Christoph Bleier leads the Auburn Regional and the Rams enter final day in good shape
AUBURN, Ala. – Christoph Bleier enters the final day of the Auburn Regional with a two-stroke lead and Colorado State stands in third place.
Bleier shot a 3-under, 69 in round two and is at 7-under for the tournament at 137. After going bogey-free in round one he had a pair on Tuesday, but also had three birdies and an eagle. He and all of the Rams' ability to scramble on Tuesday was key to their success.
CSU shot a 5-over, 293 as a team on the day to be in third place and nine strokes above the all-important cut line of fifth entering the final round. The Rams are three strokes behind host Auburn for first place.
Connor Jones also went under par for the second straight day with a 2-under, 70 to move into a tie for sixth at 3-under. He went out with a 3-under, 33 including a four-foot tap-in birdie on the ninth. On the back nine, he had back-to-back bogeys midway through the back nine but closed strong with a birdie 15 and pars the rest of the way.
Davis Bryant responded well after a disappointing first round with 3-over, 75.
Colorado State looks to advance to the NCAA Championship for the first time in 22 years tomorrow when they tee off with Auburn and Chattanooga at 7:00 am MT. Live results can be found on GolfStat.
