Brady Campbell has been promoted to Associate Head Coach for women’s golf

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Head coach Laura Cilek has elevated Brady Campbell to associate head coach of the Colorado State women's golf team.

"We are very excited to elevate Brady to associate head coach and help him continue to grow within our coaching staff. We are coming off a record-breaking 2022-2023 season and Brady has been an integral part of our success," Cilek said. "His ability to connect with student-athletes, his recruiting presence, and his commitment to the student-athlete experience has earned him this promotion. Brady is one of the best in the business and we are lucky to have him in Fort Collins!"

Having joined the program last July, Campbell saw one of the best seasons in program history unfold in 2022-23. It was topped off with Sofia Torres qualifying for the NCAA Westfield Regional as an individual. It was the first time a Ram played in the NCAA Regionals since 2018. Torres along with teammate Andrea Bergsdottir set the program's top two season stroke averages at 72.67 and 73.27, respectively under Campbell's guidance. That duo combined for 11 top 10 individual finishes for the team in 2022-23.

"I want to thank Laura, Steve Cottingham and Joe Parker for this exciting promotion. Working with our student-athletes and alongside Laura every day has been so exciting," Campbell said. "I look forward to competing every day with our team and taking what we built this year into next season and beyond. Go Rams!"

Colorado State also won their first tournament as a team since 2018 in 2022-23 taking home the Rainbow Wahine Invitational title behind the co-medalist performance of Bergsdottir.

As a team, CSU set the program's season scoring average record by over 4.0 strokes, finishing the year with an average of 293.10. That performance all season long helped the Rams earn a third place finish at the Mountain West Championship with three golfers finishing in the top 10.

Campbell came to Fort Collins after spending a season at Lewis-Clark State College as the head men's and women's golf coach. There he earned the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Coach of the Year honors. His coaching career began at his alma mater, Concordia Portland.
