Luke Vivolo joins the Colorado State men’s golf staff as an assistant coach
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Head men's golf coach Michael Wilson welcomes Luke Vivolo to the program as its newest assistant coach.
"We are excited to welcome our new assistant coach Luke Vivolo to the team here at Colorado State men's golf. Luke's background as an accomplished college golfer and touring professional made him a perfect fit for our team," Wilson said. "Luke is hard working, disciplined, organized and competitive. I know he will come in and be a great addition to our team and culture. I look forward to working with Luke and doing big things in the years ahead."
Vivolo had a strong college career at UC Davis earning Big West Player of the Year honors in 2015 along with helping the Aggies pick up the team win at the prestigious The Goodwin hosted by Stanford. Not only did Vivolo help his team to victory, but picked up the individual medalist honor as well.
In winning the 2015 Big West Player of the Year award he picked up four top 10 finishes with a scoring average of 71.3. Vivolo helped UCD to the NCAA Bremerton Regional that year as a team tying for 15th individually. He also won the El Macero Classic that season.
"I want to thank Coach Wilson and CSU Athletics for welcoming me to the team. I look forward to using my own experiences in amateur and professional golf to help support the players and team to reach their goals and win," said Vivolo. "College golf is an exciting time of development as both a player and individual - I am beyond excited to assist the team through that process. Go Rams!"
Following his career at UC Davis, Vivolo spent time playing professionally on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica and Outlaw Tour among others.
Vivolo joins Wilson on staff as CSU returns five of its top six players form last year's NCAA Championship qualifying team. The Rams were consistently ranked in the top 30 all of the 2022-23 season.
