CSU women’s golf aims to continue the success from last season
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State women's golf put together one of the best years in program history last season and looks to continue that growth in 2023-24. On Monday, the Rams released their schedule featuring nine regular season tournaments, including one at home.
Once again, CSU will host the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ran Classic, September 25-26 at Ptarmigan Country Club. Last season the Rams finished third at the event.
Two other tournaments make their return to the CSU schedule from the previous year in the Badger Invitational on September 17-19 and Chattanooga Classic on April 7-9.
The 2024 Mountain West Championship will be held April 16-18 at Mission Hills CC in Rancho Mirage, California. NCAA Regionals will take place May 6-9 with the NCAA Championships moving to a new site in the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California.
The 2023-24 version of the CSU women's golf team returns its top two players from last season Andrea Bergsdottir and Sofia Torres. Torres qualified for the NCAA Regionals as an individual last season and is looking to add her teammates alongside her this season. Last year's Rams set the program's single-season scoring record at 293.10 strokes per round.
