Colorado State unable to pick up win in overtime
LARAMIE, Wyo. – Rivalry games produce great atmospheres and sometimes unseen moments. Saturday was one of those as Colorado State fell to Wyoming 79-76 in overtime.
A series of unfortunate events let the game reach the extra five-minute period as CSU went ahead by 11 with 1:11 remaining. Four made Wyoming baskets, three free throws and two offensive rebounds plus a CSU turnover and a pair of missed free throws helped the Cowboys force overtime.
It was a Mason Walters layup as time expired that forced the overtime.
In the extra period, CSU built a four-point lead, but again was unable to close as Wyoming finished with a 9-2 run.
Colorado State had built its lead in the second half thanks to its defense holding Wyoming without a made field goal for 8:23 as they only scored five points in that span.
Game Notes
- Patrick Cartier connected on a career-best four 3s. He led all Rams with 19 points.

- Isaiah Stevens just missed out on a double-double for the second straight game. The guard finished the game with 17 points and nine assists.

It's State Pride Night on Tuesday when Colorado State welcomes San Diego State to Moby Arena at 7 pm.
