CSU kicker named conference special teams player of the week after career-long boot.

FORT COLLINS – Colorado State kicker Jordan Noyes was named the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against San Jose State, the league announced Monday.

With under 10 minutes to play in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game, the Englishman stepped up and nailed a career-best 58-yard field goal to give the Rams a bit of breathing room, 24-14. The 58-yarder is the longest by any MW kicker this season and is the fourth longest make in Colorado State history. In addition to the conference leading boot, Noyes was successful on each of his four PAT attempts.

"The field goal by Jordan Noyes was huge," head coach Jay Norvell said in his postgame press conference. "I was getting ready to punt but the kids said he could make it…He's got a lot of confidence and I was really proud he made that kick. Some kids, when you're around them long enough, you really trust them if they have conviction. And he did and I'm glad I trusted him."

This is the second weekly conference award for Noyes in his career as the graduate student took home the same honor in Week 11 of the 2023 season after going a perfect 3-for-3 from 30, 42 and 31 yards on field goal attempts and converting each of his three extra point tries against Nevada.

Noyes and the Rams (3-3, 1-0 MW) continue conference action this week with a road trip to face Air Force (1-5, 0-3 MW) on Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. MT. Colorado State is seeking to snap a seven-game skid against the Falcons, and a win would hand the Rams a winning record for the first time since 2017.
