Clifford Earns Preseason Honor

Rams guard on preseason All-Mountain West team
LAS VEGAS – Colorado State's Nique Clifford has high expectations for the 2024-25 season and the Mountain West preseason team agrees. Clifford earned a spot on the conference's preseason team announced as Media Days tipped off Thursday morning.

Clifford returned to Fort Collins after testing the NBA Draft waters during the offseason. He looks to build off a third team performance last year when he averaged 12.2 points and a team-leading 7.6 rebounds while shooting 52.2% from the field and 37.6% behind the arc.

He led the team with nine double-doubles including 17 points, 10 rebounds and six assists performance against Virginia in the NCAA Tournament First Four.

Colorado State's 2024-25 regular season tips off November 4 when the Rams host North Dakota inside Moby Arena. The Rams host Adams State on October 30 for an exhibition at 7 p.m. Coach Niko Medved and his team have played in the NCAA Tournament two of the past three seasons, including beating Virginia in the First Four last year.
