FORT COLLINS - Colorado State women's basketball announced the signing of four new Rams on National Signing Day. Head coach Ryun Williams and his staff took to all parts of the country to bring in the newest Green and Gold cohort, while also adding an elite in-state product.

Breana Bowman (Prior Lake, Minn.), Palyn Reid (Pottsboro, Texas), Allie Roden (Clackamas, Ore.) and Gianna Smith (Littleton, Colo.) all made their decision to join Colorado State official on Wednesday, bringing with them versatility and competitiveness to the CSU program.

"We are so excited to welcome four very competitive players to our Ram Family," Williams said. "They have all been well coached and bring a lot of versatility, skill and great basketball IQ. It's a very high-character and hard-working group of players who hold themselves to a really high standard throughout their lives, and that will transition well to our program and be really fun to coach."

Breana Bowman
Wing/Forward | Prior Lake, Minn. | Prior Lake HS
A graduate of the same high school as Ram legend McKenna Hofschild, Bowman is a versatile wing who is a three-time all-conference selection in the MSHSL South Suburban Conference (4A). Bowman has averaged more than 10 points and six rebounds per game in each season of her career and has accumulated 796 points in her three seasons with the Lakers. As a junior, Bowman posted 10.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 83-percent from the free-throw line.

Coach Williams on Bowman: "Breana is a player that can really shoot it. She has great versatility at 6-foot-2. She is very comfortable on the perimeter and will be a solid mismatch advantage for us with all the things she can do on the floor. She'll be a really nice fit for how we play."

Palyn Reid
Wing/Forward | Pottsboro, Texas | Legion Prep
Reid attends Legion Preparatory Academy in Dallas, Texas, where she averaged 9.2 points per game during her junior season. The wing plays club basketball for Proskills Texas, a member of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League. An accomplished student, Reid intends to graduate from high school early to join the Rams in the spring.

Coach Williams on Reid: "Palyn is a very tough, hard-nosed, high-motored and competitive young lady and will bring a lot of tenacity on both ends of the floor. She is a get-to-the-basket kind of player, which we like, and can get after it defensively against a lot of different positions on the floor."

Allie Roden
Guard | Clackamas, Ore. | Clackamas HS
A guard that is a high-level competitor on both ends of the floor, Roden helped lead Clackamas High School to an Oregon 6A state championship as a sophomore in 2022. During her junior season, Roden averaged 12.6 points, 5.8 points, 2.0 assists and 2.2 steals per game en route to earning 6A All-State honorable mention recognition. Roden also competes for the Cal Stars club team, a program that won the Nike EYBL National Championships in 2015 and 2021.

Coach Williams on Roden: "Allie comes from arguably one of the best club programs in the country, so she's been playing among high-caliber talent for a long time. She's very quick and has a great burst, and she can both shoot the ball and get to the basket. She can be a lock-down defender, and her athleticism is going to be fun to coach. Her aggressive mentality will bring a toughness to this group."

Gianna Smith
Guard | Littleton, Colo. | Arapahoe HS
Smith has been one of the top guards in the Centennial State over the past two seasons, earning 6A All-State First Team honors as a sophomore in 2022-23 and honorable mention recognition as a junior. Her sophomore season saw her average 18.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game as she led Arapahoe to a state semifinal appearance. In her three seasons with the Warriors, Smith has racked up 1,027 points, averaging 14 per game to go with five rebounds and 1.6 steals per contest.

Coach Williams on Smith: "With Gianna we really feel like we got one of the most elite guards in the state of Colorado. She is going to be an incredible college player. She shoots it, has a great mid-range game and really thinks the game well. She has nice size that will allow us to do some different things with her defensively. She has played in a really good club program and has won a national championship, and is just a competitive winner."
