Rams Add Alex Collins as Football General Manager

Collins comes to Fort Collins from Ole Miss and was on staff with Norvell at Nevada
FORT COLLINS – Colorado State football coach Jay Norvell announced the addition of Alex Collins to his staff as the program's first-ever General Manager. Collins will oversee the recruiting efforts and roster personnel for the CSU football program.

"I'd like to welcome Alex Collins to the Ram family," said coach Norvell. "Alex was on staff while we were at Nevada and we're excited to have him in Fort Collins handling our recruiting efforts. Adding a General Manager and a veteran in recruiting will help elevate our program and provide more dedication to managing our personnel."

Collins comes from Ole Miss where he was the Assistant AD for Recruiting Operations after starting as a senior player personal analyst in December 2019. Prior to Ole Miss, Collins spent the season prior as the Director of Player Personnel at FAU, where he helped the Owls to a 2019 C-USA championship.

I know that CSU Football is set up for long-term success in this landscape of college football, through the shared vision and leadership of Coach Norvell, John Weber, and President Parsons. I look forward to the contributing to the continued success of this program, both at our bowl game and in future seasons."

Before landing in Boca Raton, Collins held the same title on Norvell's staff at Nevada in 2018. While with the Wolf Pack he oversaw recruiting efforts, which helped secure the Mountain West's No. 2 recruiting class that season. Prior to Reno he was on the football staff at USC for six seasons.

Collins earned a dual bachelor's degree in business administration and finance in 2014 and added his master's degree from USC in 2016.
