Two meets kick off the 2024-25 indoor season
FORT COLLINS – The commencement of a much–anticipated Colorado State indoor track and field season is here with an action-packed weekend. Colorado State will be split between Boston and Laramie on Saturday for the Wyoming Power Invite and the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.Â

What You Need to KnowÂ
- These are Colorado State's first track meets since the outdoor season concluded at the NCAA Championships last June, a meet at which the Rams took home seven All-America honors.
- The 2023-2024 indoor season was full of success for the Rams, with both the men and women's teams winning the Mountain West indoor championships. Â
- The Rams head to Colorado Springs for the UCCS Pre-Holiday Invite and Multi's next week before a month-long break that leads into the heart of the indoor season. Â
- After wrapping up a successful cross country season just a few weeks ago, distance runners Lars Mitchel and Michael Mooney seek to keep the momentum going in Boston at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
- Thrower Gabi Morris will kick off her final season with Colorado State at the Wyoming Power Meet this weekend. Morris is looking to capitalize off a runner-up finish in the shot put at the NCAA Outdoor T&F Championships a few months ago.
- Junior Ismael Dembele looks to keep improving after a season where he showcased both his ability and potential. Dembele finished third in the long jump at the Mountain West Indoor T&F championships last season, and placed fifth and second in the long jump and triple jump, respectively, at the conference outdoor championships last year.
