Kara Kaneshiro helped Rams to second team win of the year
FORT COLLINS – The sensational freshman season for Kara Kaneshiro continues as she picked up her fourth Mountain West Freshman of the Week honor.
Kaneshiro helped CSU earn its second team win of the year at the Tulane Classic. The Rams edged Cal Poly by a stroke. It is the second time in program history they have won two tournaments in a season.
The Hawaii native shot a 6-over, 222 to tie for 11th at the English Turn & Golf Country Club. Her second round 4-under, 68 was the lowest round of the tournament for CSU.
Kaneshiro has earned three top 15 finishes this year.
Colorado State women's golf is off until March 25-26 when they compete in the Fresno State Classic.
