Rams Continue Strong Play in Fresno

Four women’s golfers in the top 25 after day one
FRESNO, Calif. – Colorado State women's golf continues its strong play sitting atop the leaderboard at the Fresno State Classic at the end of day one. CSU is 1-under with one to three holes remaining when play was suspended on Monday night.
Coming off their second team win of the year, the Rams have led from the start shooting a 4-under, 284 in round one to lead host Fresno State by a stroke through the first 18. That lead has increased to six strokes.
Andrea Bergsdottir and Pemika Arphamongkol were tied atop the individual leaderboard shooting matching 3-under, 69s in the first round.
Bergsdottir sits in second place when the tournament resumes Tuesday morning currently even-par with two holes to play in her second round. Pemika looks to regroup after a tough stretch to end her day with three straight bogies. She is tied for 22nd and 3-over for the tournament.
Joining the duo in the top 25 are Panchalika Arphmongkol and Kara Kaneshiro. Panchalika shot an opening 72 and is once again even for round with a hole to play to be tied for eighth. Kaneshiro is 2-over for the tournament tied for 16th with three holes to play.
The final day of the Fresno State Classic at the Copper River Country Club will start at 9:30 a.m. MT with the conclusion of round two and straight into the final round. Live results can be found on GolfStat.
