Kara Kaneshiro adds her fifth Freshman of the Week honor
FORT COLLINS – Kara Kaneshiro continues to add up the Freshman of the Week honors picking up her fifth of the season on Thursday.
The freshman from Honolulu helped Colorado State pick up its sixth top-5 team finish of the year at the Chattanooga Classic earlier this week. She finished tied for 23rd shooting an 8-over, 221. It was her sixth top 25 finish of the season.
Her 2-under, 69 in the final round helped CSU shoot up the leaderboard. The Rams shot 8-under as a team in that final round, the only team to finish the day under par and second-best round of the tournament.
Kaneshiro and the Rams now head to the Mountain West Championship April 16-18 at Mission Hills Country Club.
