CSU adds Emma Ronsiek, sister of Hannah Ronsiek, for her final season

FORT COLLINS – Colorado State added Emma Ronsiek, a four-time All-BIG EAST forward from Creighton to the 2024-25 roster, coach Ryun Williams announced on Monday. Ronsiek will play her final collegiate season alongside her sister Hannah, who will be a junior next year.

"I chose Colorado State because playing with my sister Hannah has always been a dream of ours," said Emma. "I want to thank Coach Williams and the rest of the staff for making that dream come true."

Emma finished her four-year career at Creighton playing in 115 games, making 109 career starts, while also helping the Bluejays win 81 games. The 6-foot-2 forward helped them reach the NCAA Tournament the past three seasons, including Creighton's first Sweet 16 and Elite Eight appearances in 2022. For her career, Ronsiek finished with 1,622 career points – the eighth most in Creighton history.

"Just like a blind squirrel can find a nut once and a while, an old coach can get a great player like Emma to Fort Collins," coach Ryun Williams joked. "We are thrilled to welcome Emma to the Ram Family! To have her finish her collegiate career playing alongside her sister Hannah is even more exciting. Emma is an exceptional competitor and has been a proven winner and performer throughout her entire career. Her ability to play any position on the floor and score from anywhere allows her to impact the game in a lot of ways."

In her final season, she was the Bluejays' second-leading scorer, recording 536 points and averaging 16.8 per game, while shooting better than 47 percent from the floor and 89.1 percent from the charity stripe – No. 12 in the nation. She added 38 blocks, 33 steals and averaged more than five rebounds per game on her way to earning her second First-Team All-BIG EAST honor.

She was named to the All-BIG EAST Freshman Team her first year, First-Team as a sophomore and Second-Team her junior season.

Ronsiek finished her prep career with the O'Gorman Knights with eight combined letters, four in basketball and four in volleyball. She was named the 2019-20 South Dakota Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year and South Dakota Miss Basketball. She also claimed Player of the Year honors from the Argus Leader, Midco and KeloLand Media Group her senior year.
