Colorado State added guard transfer Hannah Simental from Northern Colorado

FORT COLLINS – Colorado State has added its final piece to the 2024-25 roster, as coach Ryun Williams announced on Tuesday the addition of Hannah Simental, a 5-foot-8 guard transfer from Northern Colorado.

Simental played the previous four seasons at Northern Colorado, appearing in 115 games and making 113 starts, including every game the last three seasons. She brings 1,450 career points to Fort Collins and a 12.6 scoring average.

"Hannah is an experienced and talented player that can play multiple perimeter positions and affect the game in a variety of different ways," said Williams. "She has been very productive her entire collegiate career and her ability to make plays as well as really shoot it will be fun to coach. The way she sees the game is next level and I love that she thrives at making those around her better."

Before her final season for the Bears, she was named to the Preseason All-Big Sky team and finished the season named to the second team. She started all 31 games and played nearly 36 minutes of action a night. She finished as UNC's second-leading scorer with 12.6 points and a 41.6 shooting mark, including a 38.4 pace from behind the arc. The Pueblo, Colo., native added 20 games in double-figures, including five contests with 20+ points.

"I chose Colorado State because the program aligns with my goals and aspirations," said Simental. "The atmosphere will also provide a great experience for my final season of collegiate basketball."

During her junior season she reached 1,000 career points and leaves Greeley as the Bears' No. 8 all-time scorer with 1,450 points. Her sophomore and senior seasons, she made 71 3-pointers – tied for sixth in a season all-time in program history. Her 245 career 3-pointers are the second most all-time. She was also named Second-Team All-Big Sky as a sophomore and Third-Team her junior year.
