Connor Jones earns third straight All-Mountain West honors
FORT COLLINS – Three years as a Ram and three years on the All-Mountain West team for Connor Jones. The graduate student, who will earn his master's degree in sports management later this week, was named to the All-Mountain West team on Wednesday.
Jones becomes the fourth Ram to earn All-Conference honors three times joining Martin Laird, AJ Ott and Davis Bryant.
In his final year as a Ram, Jones started the year winning the Ram Masters Classic in record fashion with a 13-under, 197. He went on to have a stroke average of 70.47, currently the second-best single-season mark in program history.
He has six top-10 finishes and three top-5, including tying for fifth at the Mountain West Championship at the end of April. It was the second time in his career he finished in the top-5 at the conference championship.
Jones and the rest of the Rams will compete in their third straight NCAA Regional next week. CSU will head to the West Lafayette Regional aiming to qualify for their second straight NCAA Championship.
