Colorado State schedules a handful of future games and adjusts others
FORT COLLINS – Colorado State has added a home-and-home series against UTSA and BYU to the futures schedules. The Rams will face the Roadrunners starting next season in Canvas Stadium before returning to San Antonio the following season. CSU will start the two-game list with BYU, hosting the Cougars in 2026 before heading to Provo in 2029.
"We're excited to announce these two series with UTSA and BYU," said coach Jay Norvell. "Understanding the landscape of college football is crucial to continuing to compete at the highest level. We look to schedule programs that will help us toward our goal of a Mountain West Championship and earning a spot in the College Football Playoff every year."
Colorado State had scheduled Texas Tech for a home-and-home slate for 2025 and 2026, but both mutually agreed to void the contract. The Rams will face Vanderbilt in Nashville in 2025 as part of a cancelled game during the 2020 season but will forego the remaining home and home that was set for 2025 and 2026.
The Rams also added a marquee game at Oklahoma in 2028, an agreement that was inked during the 2023 football season.
Including the upcoming 2024 season, Colorado State will play 12 'Power 4' programs over the next six seasons, including four at Canvas Stadium.
