Colorado State men’s basketball to face challenging non-conference schedule

FORT COLLINS – Coach Niko Medved and his men's basketball program have never shied away from a challenge and will not once again in 2024-25. The Rams released their non-conference schedule Wednesday.

The Rocky Mountain Showdown on the hardwood highlights the schedule for CSU as they travel to Boulder to face Colorado on December 7. The Rams defeated CU inside Moby Arena last year 88-83.

Coming off their second trip to the NCAA Tournament in three years, the Rams will play in four neutral site games to help prep the team for another NCAA Tournament run. The first of the four comes in Southhaven, Mississippi against Ole Miss on November 16. That contest comes after a three-game homestand to open the season starting November 4 when North Dakota comes to Moby Arena.

Palm trees will surround CSU for Thanksgiving at the Acrisure Invitational in Palm Desert, California, on November 28 and 29. The tournament starts with a rematch between the Rams and Washington on Thanksgiving Day. CSU defeated the Huskies 86-81 in Las Vegas last season. Colorado State will face either Santa Clara or TCU the following day.

It will be a Ram clash in Henderson, Nevada, on December 14 when CSU and VCU face off. It is the first match-up between the two teams.

Colorado State hosts six non-conference home games starting with North Dakota on November 4 and include Denver, LMU and Radford.

The Rams host an exhibition on October 30 against Adams State. The 20-game Mountain West schedule will be announced in early fall.

Season tickets for the 2024-25 season are on sale now at CSURams.com or by calling 800-491-RAMS (7267).
