Five Rams race at Washington Park in Denver.

DENVER – Never turning down a chance to get some race experience, a group of Colorado State cross country student-athletes took to Denver for the Roadrunners Invitational on Saturday morning at Washington Park.

Sophomore Brooklyn Ewert was the lone representative from the Ram women, and the Loveland, Colo., native impressed with a 28th-place finish, clocking a time of 23:03.00.

On the men's side, it was a quartet of freshmen taking the course unattached for their first collegiate 8k races, led by Owen Casselman who clocked a 25:45.05 to finish just outside the top 30 individually. Finishing closely behind him was Nic Spencer (52nd, 26:22.79) followed by Brett Ephriam (68th, 26:36.28) and Ethan Mann (129th, 28:04.31).
