Three talented prep standouts to join Rams in 2026

FORT COLLINS – Colorado State women's basketball has announced the addition of three prep standouts to join the program on National Signing Day.

Emilie Borges-Michaelsen (Copenhagen, Denmark), Kyla Hollier (Johnstown, Colo.) and Elsie Larsen (Springfield, Mo.) will bring their talents to Moby Arena after accepting offers from CSU.

"It's exciting to have this group help lead us into the new Pac-12 Conference," head coach Ryun Williams said. "All have very good skill sets and competitiveness, combined with a love for the game that will be fun to coach. Their high-character priorities will fit great with the CSU women's basketball culture and Ram fans will enjoy watching these ladies compete!"

Emilie Borges-Michaelsen
Forward | 6-2 | Copenhagen, Denmark | Rungsted Gymnasium
Borges-Michaelsen is a member of Denmark's National Team, participating in 35 youth national games during her high school career. During the 2025 season, she averaged an impressive 11.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket, Division B competition. The skilled forward is also member of the Hørsholm 79ers, a women's basketball club based out of Hørsholm, Denmark, where she currently leads her team in average points per game. In a recent matchup against Falcon – the reigning league champion – Borges-Michaelsen led her team to an upset victory behind 31 points, eight rebounds, five steals and three blocks.

Coach Williams on Emilie: "Finally, another amazing talent from Denmark! Denmark has been good to the Rams and we are excited to add one of the country's best to our roster.  At 6-foot-2 and a unique ability to stretch and run the floor, Emilie will be a difficult matchup. She can really shoot it and will be a fun, versatile player on both ends of the floor. To gain high praise from one of the best and toughest Rams ever in Gritt Ryder is pretty cool stuff and we cannot wait to get this version of Denmark's finest on campus next fall!"

Kyla Hollier
Forward | 6-2 | Johnstown, Colo. | Roosevelt HS
A Colorado native, two-time state champion and two-time all-state first team selection, Hollier is an athlete with a flair for collecting achievements. As a freshman Hollier led Roosevelt to a state title while collecting all-conference honorable mention honors and earning the Class 5A Tournament MVP. Her resume grew even more during a sophomore campaign in which she defended her 5A tournament MVP honor while also being named the CHSSA 5A Player of the Year. In her most recent season (2024-25) with the Roughriders, Hollier averaged 26.1 points per game and scored 23 or more points in 10 consecutive games on her way to Longs Peak League Player of the Year and all-state first team honors. Her accomplishments continued to grow as she also earned a spot on the All-State First Team, broke seven Roosevelt school records and surpassed 1,500 career points all in the same season. Hollier also played for Jason Kidd Select, a competitive girls club basketball program started by former Dallas Mavericks player Jason Kidd.

Coach Williams on Kyla: "We are excited to have one of Colorado's elite join the Ramily. Kyla is local talent that has tremendous versatility on both ends of the floor. A state champion and player of the year, Ky is a proven winner and her feel and ability from multiple spots on the floor will fit nicely with how we play."

Elsie Larsen
Guard | 5-10 | Springfield, Mo. | Strafford HS
Larsen is a standout dual-sport athlete who contributes her talents to both the basketball and volleyball programs at her high school. Throughout her three-year high school career, Larsen has already eclipsed the 1,000 point mark while averaging 16.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.2 steals per game. Larsen has been named to the All-Mid-Lakes Conference First Team, along with the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA) All-District and All-State teams, in each of her three high school seasons. As a sophomore, she was named the MBCA Class 3 Player of the Year. Larsen has played for the Mokan Girls and All Iowa Attack, both members of the Nike Girls Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL).

Coach Williams on Elsie: "Elsie is a very skilled combo guard who comes from a true basketball family and sees the game at an extremely high level.  Elsie is a winner in every sense of the word and does so many positive things on the basketball floor that affect winning. Her toughness and her ability to connect a squad will be fun to have on board!"
