Rams sign 25 players during early signing period

FORT COLLINS  – A week of fresh starts continued Wednesday as Colorado State's football program announced the signing of 25 players during the 2026 early signing period.

Jim Mora was introduced as the Rams' new leader on Monday, and he was back in Fort Collins by midday to help usher in the next wave to the program. In what has been a whirlwind week for both he and the program, Mora praised the efforts of the staff for keeping together a strong class during a coaching change.

"I have to thank the coaching staff, general manager Alex Collins and director of recruiting Bria Griffin and their staffs for keeping together an outstanding class in a time of transition," Mora said. "We have put together an impressive blend of size and athleticism in this class, a group of young men who we believe will lead us on the field and be outstanding representatives of our program in the community.

"We are not done yet. We will continue to purse talented players from the high school ranks, and we will use the transfer portal to help us build a roster ready to compete for a championship in our inaugural year of the Pac-12."

Among the signees are a pair of high school teammates from Hawaii as offensive linemen Packs Ahovelo and Uluaki Tatafu venture to Fort Collins out of Kailua High School after winning a state championship this season. The class additionally includes 13 who will enroll early for the second semester and be on hand for spring camp, among them two junior college transfers.

There are 11 states represented in the group, including Colorado products Atticus Tillman from Arvada West and Isaiah Watson from Vista PEAK. The size comes in the trenches, where the three offensive linemen average 6-foot-5, 301, the four defensive linemen 6-2, 294. There is length and range at the skill positions with a trio of wideouts averaging 6-2 in height, the six members of the secondary standing 6-1.
