Colorado State sets program’s record for Mountain West road wins
BOISE, Idaho – Nique Clifford turned in an all-time performance for Colorado State scoring 36 points to help Colorado State in the come from behind 83-73 win over Boise State Friday night. The Rams picked up their 22nd win of the season and finish the regular season with a 16-4 record in conference play.
How It Happened
- CSU worked its way to an 18-11 lead before Boise State used a 12-0 run to go up by five
- The Rams responded with a 7-0 run to reclaim the lead
- The teams entered the half tied at 34 thanks to a last-second tip-in from Boise State's Emanual Ugbo.
- Boise State came out hot to start the second half with 10-2 run to go up eight by the first media time out.
- Clifford took over for CSU, scoring 15 of the Rams' first 17 points in the second half, helping cut the BSU lead to one with 12:28 left.
- Boise State responded to CSU's 10-2 run with an 8-0 of their own to go up by nine.
- Colorado State never gave in with a 14-2 run to take the lead with 6:23 remaining.
- Kyan Evans hit the go-ahead 3-pointer and the Rams never trailed after that.
- Cliford went on another personal run of 6-0 to put the game for CSU
