Strong final round pushes CSU up three spots ahead of Mountain West Championship
Colorado State closed out the regular season this weekend at the Robert Kepler Invitational, finishing ninth overall at Ohio State's Scarlet Course. The Rams battled through a tough opening round before posting one of the best final rounds in the field to climb three spots on the leader board.
Tournament Highlights:
- Finished ninth at +60 as a team (313-301-298), climbing three spots with the second-best final round in the field
- Christoph Bleier tied for 27th at +13, carding a 1-over 72 in the final round with two birdies
- Jay Pabin tied for 30th at +14, closing with a 74 that included an even-par back nine on the final day
- Jake Rodgers tied for 30th at +14, delivering CSU's low round of the second day with a 75 and following it with a 2-over 73 to finish
- Alessandro Trenta tied for 54th at +21, highlighted by 10 straight pars to open Round 2
- Matthew Wilkinson tied for 64th at +25, carding back-to-back birdies during Round 2
Next up, the Rams head west for the Mountain West Championship April 25–27 at Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell, Oregon.
