6-foot-3 forward/center comes to CSU from Northern State.
FORT COLLINS – Colorado State women's basketball added some size on the front line with the addition of transfer Madelyn "Maddy" Bragg, head coach Ryun Williams announced on Wednesday.
Â
Bragg is a 6-foot-3 forward/center from Northern State University, a NCAA DII program in Aberdeen, S.D. A native of Aberdeen herself, Bragg enjoyed an impressive three-year career at her hometown school in which she averaged 13.3 points and 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks across 87 games.
Â
"Maddy is a very athletic, tough-minded player who is an inside-outside presence that was very productive at Northern State," Williams said. "There's no doubt she will come in here and be a strong presence for us. She's been well coached, and her size and strength were a focus for us. We expect her to be a very good Ram!"
Â
As a junior in 2024-25, Bragg averaged 16.8 points and 7.2 rebounds while playing just under 28 minutes per game. The prolific numbers earned her a second All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference First Team honor in as many seasons. Bragg was just as impressive as a sophomore in 2023-24 as she averaged 17.9 points per game on 51.1% shooting to go with 6.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks.
Â
"We've had such a great tradition with outstanding players from the state of South Dakota," Williams said. "Joining names like Becky Hammon, Lindsay Thomas, Caitlin Duffy, and Hannah and Emma Ronsiek, Madelyn will continue to carry the South Dakota pipeline to Moby."
Â
Bragg joins a Colorado State roster that is set to return four players that started 15-or-more games this past season, featuring sophomores Brooke Carlson and Kloe Froebe, and seniors Marta Leimane and Hannah Ronsiek.
