Athletic Department prepares to elevate excellence in the Pac-12 Era

FORT COLLINS – Colorado State introduces a new look to the Ram Club as the athletic department prepares to enter the 2025-26 competition season.

The Ram Club will take a three-pronged approach in funding, creating the Ram Athletic Fund and McGraw Society in addition to the current sport-specific excellence funds.

"We have nearly 400 student-athletes competing at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics. We will work tirelessly to provide them with every opportunity to maximize their potential," Director of Athletics John Weber said. "We need Ram Country's support for the Ram Club through the Ram Athletic Fund, sport-specific excellence funds and the McGraw Society. It is a direct way for all those who love the Rams to get involved. Colorado State is a world-class academic and research institution located in the greatest city in the country. Our mission is clear: to relentlessly pursue competitive and personal success, to courageously champion our university and to passionately connect with our community."

The Ram Athletic Fund is the department's comprehensive annual fund. It provides essential scholarships, academic support and holistic health care among many other resources to all of Colorado State's student-athletes.

Launching the annual giving fund is a part of Colorado State's comprehensive Path to the Pac strategy designed to push the department to new heights as it enters the Pac-12 in July of 2026.

The Path to the Pac initiative will help Colorado State hit the ground running as it enters the renewed Pac-12.

"Since joining Colorado State Athletics in January, it has been humbling to meet so many alumni, donors and fans who care deeply about CSU and have generously supported Rams student-athletes for a long time," Senior Associate AD for Development Patrick McLaughlin said. "This support is so important and will continue to be critical as we focus on making sure all Rams have every opportunity to maximize their potential in the classroom, personally and in their chosen sport. The Ram Club team, along with our entire athletic department, is working relentlessly to be sure there are opportunities for everyone to make a lasting impact on CSU Athletics."

Along with introducing the Ram Athletic Fund and continued Path to the Pac initiative, the Ram Club will continue to have its sport-specific excellence funds to directly support the sport of a donor's choice. Starting with the 2025-26 membership year, we will introduce a unified benefits chart for donors who contribute to any of our annual funds. While each individual sport will continue to offer exclusive stewardship opportunities for its supporters, we will no longer maintain separate booster club membership levels or benefits charts.

Finally, the Ram Club introduces the McGraw Society. This exclusive group is the premier philanthropic giving society for Colorado State Athletics. To join the McGraw Society, donors need to make a minimum commitment of $25,000 or more over a five-year period (above and beyond Ram Club annual contributions). After becoming a part of this giving society, donors will have access to an exclusive stewardship program, along with the opportunity to earn bonus priority points.
