CSU men’s basketball will compete in the 2026 Southwest Maui Invitational

FORT COLLINS – Colorado State men's basketball will be saying Aloha for Thanksgiving 2026. The Rams will make their inaugural appearance in the historic Maui Invitational Nov. 23-25, 2026.

"Competing in the Maui Invitational is a great experience for our program," coach Ali Farokhmanesh said. "The Maui Invitational's long history and tradition are something any kid dreams of being a part of. I am excited for us to compete against a great field and continue to grow the brand of CSU and CSU men's basketball."

The eight-team field will feature Arizona, BYU, Clemson, Ole Miss, Providence, VCU and Washington alongside CSU competing at the Lahaina Civic Center.

Teams that have participated in the Southwest Maui Invitational throughout the event's rich history own 74 of the 85 NCAA National Championships, and seven of those schools have gone on to win the national championship after winning the Southwest Maui Invitational earlier that year.

Colorado State and first year head coach Ali Farokhmanesh will compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis in 2025. The Rams 2025-26 season tips off Nov. 3 when Incarnate Word visits Moby Arena.
